Uvetta (born in 2016), a charming female cocker spaniel, was taken to the vet due to weight gain. During the health check, the blood values were pleasingly unremarkable – only the thyroid profile showed a slight deviation, which will be checked again in a few months to be on the safe side.
A look into her mouth was less harmless: massive tartar made dental restoration necessary. On 24.07.2025, Uvetta was therefore treated under anesthesia – including thorough tartar removal, dental x-rays, several (also more complex) tooth extractions and subsequent pain therapy.
Uvetta survived the operation very well. A dietary adjustment was recommended for further weight control – now the motto is: less “guddies”, more exercise!
