On May 25, 2025, the trusting cat Matcho was found at the Harder mountain station and brought to the Interlaken Veterinary Clinic, where she received initial treatment in the emergency ward. She was slightly underweight, infested with ticks and showed shaving marks from a recent visit to the vet. Shortly after the parasite treatment, she suffered epileptic seizures, which could be treated.
Fortunately, the owners were found: Matcho had been missing since May 9 and had had seizures before then.
“Our heartfelt thanks go to the Franziska Schären Foundation for their swift support – without them, the assessment and treatment would not have been possible. It’s great to know that Matcho now has a chance of diagnosis and treatment and that her owners are providing her with loving support.”
